Prospective Scholars Eligibility

 

Who Can Apply for Upward Bound?

Based on federal guidelines, an eligible student meets all of the following:

• Meet income guidelines set by the U.S. Department of Eduation from a family

• Be a US citizen or permanent resident,

• Be a Freshmen at East View, Georgetown, Granger or Jarrell High School

• Be a potential first-generation college student (which means neither of  the parents you live with has a four-year college degree)

• have the desire to succeed in high school and go on to to college.

 

To apply to Upward Bound:

Pick up the UB Application from your school's counselor office or from the UB Office located at the McCook-Crain building on the Southwestern University campus. 

 

COMPLETE APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE UB OFFICE
